Regular Season Round 11: Lietkabelis-2 - Palanga 69-77

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Palanga (8-3) defeated bottom-ranked Lietkabelis-2 (1-10) in Panevezys 77-69. The guests were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-17 Lietkabelis-2's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 77-69 at the end of the game. It was a great evening for center Matas Jucikas (205-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 blocks. Guard Mindaugas Reminas (187-86) helped adding 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Darius Marcinkevicius (201-91) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Audrius Stasaitis (192-81) scored 6 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Lietkabelis-2's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Palanga maintains third place with 8-3 record behind leader Mazeikiai. Lietkabelis-2 lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Palanga will play against league's leader Mazeikiai at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lietkabelis-2 will play against Rasai (#13) in Raseiniai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
