Regular Season Round 11: Vytis - Rasai 88-67

Date: November 13, 2015
Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Rasai (2-9) was outscored by sixth ranked Vytis (7-4) in Sakiai 88-67. It looked good early as Rasai took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Vytis had a 22-17 second period charge getting the lead and Rasai was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-88. Vytis made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Rasai turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Dovydas Redikas (192-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Paulius Beliavicius (194-88) helped adding 13 points. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. Forward Valdemaras Savostjanovas (200-84) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Edvinas Seskus (194-95) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vytis moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Zalgiris II. Rasai lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Vytis will play against Petrochema (#6) in Jonava in the next round. Rasai will play at home against Lietkabelis-2 (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
