Regular Season Round 6: Yesilgiresun - Istanbul BSB 87-95

Istanbul BSB's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Giresun, where they defeated Yesilgiresun (2-3) 95-87. Yesilgiresun was ahead by 6 points after three quarters before a 28-14 charge of Istanbul BSB, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) who scored 30 points and 6 rebounds. Swedish-Croatian power forward Damir Markota (209-85, agency: XL Basketball Agency) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American Tony Crocker (200-87, college: Oklahoma) who recorded 27 points and 5 steals and American-Ivorian point guard Doron Perkins (189-83, college: Santa Clara) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Four Istanbul BSB and five Yesilgiresun players scored in double figures. Istanbul BSB (1-4) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Turk Telekom. Newly promoted Yesilgiresun keeps the twelfth position with three games lost. Istanbul BSB's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Trabzonspor (#16) on the road.
