Regular Season Round 6: Chernomorets - Yambol 67-81

Yambol has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive loses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Burgas, where they defeated Chernomorets (1-5) 81-67 on Saturday. The game without a history. Yambol led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Chernomorets' 32. The best player for the winners was Serbian point guard Milijan Bocka (185-82) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Serbian guard Ivan Bosnjak (200-82, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 21 points. Four Yambol players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Konstantin Koev (196-91) who recorded 22 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard Tsvetomir Kurtev (193-97) added 13 points respectively. Yambol left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Akademik PL and Chernomorets. It was Chernomorets' third loss in a row. Yambol will meet at home higher ranked Cherno More (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Chernomorets will play against the league's leader Lukoil Acad. (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
