Regular Season Round 10: Hanau - Trier 76-58

An interesting game took place in Hanau where higher ranked Gladiators (4-6) were upset on the court of fifteenth ranked White Wings (3-7) 76-58. The game was mostly controlled by White Wings. Gladiators was better in fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. White Wings outrebounded Gladiators 42-30 including a 42-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Gladiators helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kruize Pinkins (201-93, college: USF) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Robin Christen (202-91) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. point guard Kevin Smit (183-91) replied with 13 points and 4 assists and American forward Dwayne Evans (198-92, college: St.Louis) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gladiators. Gladiators' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. White Wings moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with ETB Wohnbau. Gladiators lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. White Wings' next round opponent will be Bayer Giants (#15) in Leverkusen.
