Trabzonspor's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Ankara, where they defeated Turk Telekom (1-4) 90-80 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-80. Trabzonspor made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. Turk Telekom was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American-Congolese point guard Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 9 assists. Croatian-Bosnian center Andrija Stipanovic (209-86, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American-Georgian point guard Ben Woodside (180-85, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Priority Sports) replied with 18 points and 6 assists and American forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) added 13 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) in the effort for Turk Telekom. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Trabzonspor (1-5) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place, which they share with TED Kolejliler. Loser Turk Telekom keeps the thirteenth position with four games lost. Trabzonspor will face higher ranked Istanbul BSB (#14) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
