Regular Season Round 8: Mladost ZE - Vrsac 79-65

There was a minor upset in Zemun where higher ranked Vrsac (3-5) was defeated by twelfth ranked Mladost ZE (3-5) 79-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Mladost ZE. Vrsac was better in second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Vrsac 43-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Stefan Pot (196-94) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and forward Petar Beader (205-85, agency: BeoExcell) who added 16 points during the contest. Andrija Simovic (203-95, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Mladen Jeremic (196-88, agency: Interperformances) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mladost ZE moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Vrsac. Mladost ZE will face league's second-placed Smederevo on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
