We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Barreiro where second-best Benfica B (4-2) was defeated by third ranked Barreirense (4-1) 53-47 on Sunday. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Barreirense forced 20 Benfica B turnovers. The best player for the winners was Cape Verdean forward Kevin Coronel (197-91) who scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Daniel Margarido (191-92) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was center Ricardo Monteiro (208-97) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Ricardo Rosa (193-92) added 12 points respectively. Benfica B's coach Joao Tavares rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Barreirense have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Benfica B at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Barreirense will face Atletico (#5) in Lisboa in the next round. Benfica B will play against Estoril Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
