Regular Season Round 7: Mykolaiv - Dynamo 67-98

The game in Mykolaiv supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Dynamo (5-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Mykolaiv (5-3). Dynamo smashed Mykolaiv 98-67 on Thursday. The game without a history. Dynamo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Mykolaiv's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dynamo made 7 blocks. Mykolaiv was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international Artur Drozdov (199-80, agency: Comsport) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Anatoliy Shundel (194-93) helped adding 16 points and 9 assists. Dynamo's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Andriy Kozhemyakin (189-96) responded with 15 points and forward Oleksandr Tsikaliuk (204-93) scored 6 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Dynamo maintains third place with 5-2 record having just three points less than leader Khimik. Loser Mykolaiv dropped to the fourth position with three games lost.
