Regular Season Round 6: Alanya Bld - Cankaya 74-65

There was an upset when higher ranked Cankaya (3-3) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Alanya Bld (2-4) 74-65 on Saturday. American forward Porsha Harris (188-90, college: Bethel, TN, agency: Gamble Sports Management) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Dilara Usumus (-88) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international Busra Akgun (183-93) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and the former international forward Burcu Tasbas (178-89) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Alanya Bld moved-up to eighth place in Group B, which they share with Bursa BSB and Urla BLD. Loser Cankaya dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Alanya Bld will face Bakospor (#12) in Gaziantep in the next round.
