Regular Season Round 14: Palanga - Telsiai 64-54

Very expected game when 7th ranked Telsiai (7-7) lost on the road to second ranked Palanga (10-4) 64-54. The game was mostly controlled by Palanga. Telsiai was better in third quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Palanga brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was center Matas Jucikas (205-94) who scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Benas Vaitulionis (197-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Ovidijus Kaminskas (195-91) produced 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and center Nerijus Barauskas (207-92) added 6 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Palanga maintains second position with 10-4 record behind leader Suduva-Mantinga, which they share with Mazeikiai. Newly promoted Telsiai keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Palanga's next round opponent will be Delikatesas (#10) in Joniskis and are hoping to win another game. Telsiai will play at home against Petrochema and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
