Eskisehir Basket (6-2) outlasted Akhisar Bld (5-3) in overtime by eight points 94-86 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 20-15 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 8-point victory in overtime. Eskisehir Basket outrebounded Akhisar Bld 43-32 including 28 on the defensive glass. Akhisar Bld was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Leemire Goldwire (184-85, college: Charlotte, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 8 assists and the other American import forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) who added 28 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. point guard Erdem Ilter (188-90) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and center Hakan Yapar (202-84) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Akhisar Bld players scored in double figures. Akhisar Bld's coach Zafer Aktas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Eskisehir Basket have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Gediz. Akhisar Bld at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Eskisehir Basket will face Bandirma Kir. (#17) in Balikesir in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Akhisar Bld will play at home against Mamak DSI (#11) and hope to win that game.
