The game in Siauliai was also quite interesting. 6th ranked P.Zvaigzdes (3-6) played at the court of eighth ranked Siauliai (4-7). Siauliai managed to secure a 4-point victory 77-73 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But P.Zvaigzdes won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for guard Paulius Dambrauskas (192-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Gintaras Leonavicius (194-83, agency: Players Group) helped adding 14 points and 4 assists. Four Siauliai players scored in double figures. Zygimantas Skucas (201-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and American point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) scored 17 points and 4 assists. P.Zvaigzdes' coach Mantas Sernius rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Siauliai moved-up to seventh place. Loser P.Zvaigzdes dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Siauliai will meet higher ranked Neptunas (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. P.Zvaigzdes will play against Dzukija and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
