Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Zalgiris II (8-6) and Nafta-Uni. (7-7), which took place in Klaipeda. Higher ranked Zalgiris II lost to ninth ranked Nafta-Uni. in a road game 52-58. It looked good early as Zalgiris II took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Nafta-Uni. had a 20-11 second period charge getting the lead and Zalgiris II was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 52-58. Zalgiris II was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Raidas Nacius (196-91) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Mindaugas Stasys (180-86) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Paulius Valinskas (190-95) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Martynas Varnas (196-97) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Zalgiris II's coach Tomas Masiulis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nafta-Uni. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Perlas-MRU and Telsiai. Zalgiris II at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Petrochema and Vytis. Nafta-Uni. will play against bottom-ranked Lietkabelis-2 (#14) in Panevezys in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zalgiris II will play at home against the league's leader Suduva-Mantinga (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
