Regular Season Round 11: Kirchheim - Gotha 59-60

Date: November 21, 2015
The biggest surprise of round 11 in ProA was guest Oettinger Rockets Gotha's (8-3) road victory over Kirchheim Knights (#4) 60-59 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kirchheim Knights. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 17-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Kirchheim Knights outrebounded Oettinger Rockets Gotha 43-26 including a 43-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Carlton Guyton (193-90, college: Kent St.) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Power forward Joe Lawson (201-92, college: Indianapolis, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Lawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Jordan Wild (203-88, college: Fresno Pacific) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and forward Dennis Tinnon (203-88, college: Marshall) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Oettinger Rockets Gotha moved-up to second place, which they share with Vechta. Kirchheim Knights at the other side keep the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Hamburg. Oettinger Rockets Gotha is looking forward to face Gladiators (#8) in Trier in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kirchheim Knights will play on the road against Nuernberg (#10) in Nurnberg and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
