Regular Season Round 7: Usak - Demir IBB 79-70

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Usak as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Usak defeated 9th ranked Demir IBB at home 79-70. It looked good early as Demir IBB took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Usak had a 23-11 second period charge getting the lead and Demir IBB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-79. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Paul Harris (193-86, college: Syracuse) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import point guard Giordan Watson (178-85, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 10 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Usak players scored in double figures. American-Tunisian Michael Roll (197-87, college: UCLA) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) added 19 points respectively for Demir IBB in the defeat. Usak have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Newly promoted Demir IBB keeps the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Demir IBB will play next round against TED Kolejliler trying to get back on the winning streak. Usak will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Karsiyaka on the road.
