Regular Season Round 9: B.Loewen - Barmer TV 54-76

Date: November 22, 2015
Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Barmer TV (3-5) smashed on the road bottom-ranked B.Loewen (0-7) 76-54 on Sunday. The game without a history. Barmer TV led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding B.Loewen to just 7 points in third quarter. Barmer TV made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 B.Loewen turnovers. Swingman Nicole Egert (178) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 assists for the winners and Chantal Neuwald (180-95) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American center Mackenzie Morrison (195, college: William & Mary) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and center Viktoria Jaeger (184) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Barmer TV moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with Gruenberg and Braunschweig. Newly promoted B.Loewen still closes the standings with seven games lost. Barmer TV will face Wusterhausen (#10) at home in the next round. B.Loewen will play against SG BBZ Opladen in Leverkusen and hopes to get finally their first victory.
