Proliga top team - Terceira (6-1) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Angrabasket (2-4) in Angra Heroismo 91-86. Terceira shot 68.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. It was a very good performance for forward Fernando Ferreira (198-94) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Luis Felipe Tomassi (175-92) contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. Five Terceira players scored in double figures. Naturalized American forward Rick Cardoso (201-85, college: CS Stanislaus) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American point guard Jarvis Davis (183, college: Gardner-Webb) added 33 points (!!!) in the effort for Angrabasket. Terceira have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Newly promoted Angrabasket keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Terceira will face Benfica B (#3) in Lisboa in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Angrabasket will play against Estoril Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
