Regular Season Round 9: Denizli - Final Genclik 91-77

Date: November 24, 2015
Very expected game when 15th ranked Final Genclik (2-7) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Denizli (6-3) 91-77. The game was mostly controlled by Denizli. Final Genclik was better in second period 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 32 personal fouls committed by Final Genclik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Kenny Boynton (188-91, college: Florida) nailed 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import center Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) accounted for 24 points and 11 rebounds. Center Mehmet Sanli (205-95) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Mustafa Gucyetmez (188-80) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Final Genclik in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Denizli. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sakarya BSB and Eskisehir Basket. Final Genclik at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Denizli's next round opponent will be Adanaspor (#17) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Final Genclik will play against Istanbul DSI and hope to win that game.
