Regular Season Round 10: Eskisehir Basket - Tofas 74-83

TBL top team - Tofas (10-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Eskisehir Basket (6-4) in Edirne 83-74. Eskisehir Basket was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 41-30 second half run of Tofas. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Bulgarian power forward Kaloyan Ivanov (205-86, agency: Beo Basket) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Umit Sonkol (206-82) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Leemire Goldwire (184-85, college: Charlotte, agency: HMS) responded with 33 points (!!!) and his fellow American import forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St., agency: Ali Guney BA) scored 8 points and 19 rebounds. Tofas have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Eskisehir Basket at the other side dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Akhisar Bld. Tofas will play against Mamak DSI (#12) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Eskisehir Basket will play on the road against Afyon (#11) in Afyonkarahisar and hopes to get back on the winning track.
