We should mention about the upset which took place in Giresun, where higher ranked Yesilgiresun (3-4) lost at home to fourteenth ranked Trabzonspor (3-5) 62-69 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Yesilgiresun won third quarter 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Trabzonspor won last quarter 15-10. The best player for the winners was American guard Tarence Kinsey (200-84, college: S.Carolina) who scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. International Berkay Candan (205-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Trabzonspor players scored in double figures. American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and American-Ivorian point guard Doron Perkins (189-83, college: Santa Clara) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Trabzonspor have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with TED Kolejliler. Newly promoted Yesilgiresun dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Trabzonspor will face higher ranked Anadolu Efes (#3) in Istanbul in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
