An interesting game where host Braunschweig (#7) won against 4th ranked TuSLi Berlin 89-85 on Saturday evening. Braunschweig made 31-of-36 free shots (86.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 TuSLi Berlin turnovers. American guard Dayeesha Hollins (168-91, college: Cincinnati) scored 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Suska Berger (187-85) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Braunschweig players scored in double figures. Braunschweig's coach Pierre Hohn let to play all 12 players in such tough game. At the losing side Lena Gohlisch (173-93) responded with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Patricia Brossmann (181-97) scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. Braunschweig maintains seventh position in North with 4-5 record, which they share with Barmer TV. Loser TuSLi Berlin keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Braunschweig will meet B.Loewen (#11) on the road in the next round. TuSLi Berlin will play against the league's second-placed TG Neuss (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
