Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Fenerbahce and 10th ranked Mersin Gelisim had identical 1-5 record. But Mersin Gelisim was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Istanbul 54-36 on Saturday night. Fenerbahce held Mersin Gelisim to an opponent 19.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.2 percent accuracy of the winners. Fenerbahce had a 35-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fenerbahce (2-5) moved-up to eighth place in Group A, which they share with Ferko Ilgaz. Newly promoted Mersin Gelisim keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Fenerbahce will face higher ranked Yalova Vip (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mersin Gelisim will play against the league's second-placed Nevsehir Uni (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
