The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Virum as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Virum defeated 3rd placed Horsholm at home 72-65. Horsholm was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Virum made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Virum outrebounded Horsholm 47-33 including 20 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American center Val Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds. Swingman Sofie Schirmer (175-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Four Virum players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and international swingman Frederikke Mollerup (177-95) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Horsholm's coach Jose Vazquez rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Virum have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion Horsholm dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Horsholm will play next round against Amager trying to get back on the winning streak. Virum will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Stevnsgade at home.
