Regular Season Round 10: Heidelberg - Bamberg 81-70

The most important game in the last round took place in Heidelberg between third ranked Don Bosco Bamberg (6-4) and fifth ranked BasCats Heidelberg (7-3) on Sunday night. Don Bosco Bamberg was defeated by BasCats Heidelberg on the road 81-70. It was a key game for the second position in South. The game was mostly controlled by BasCats Heidelberg. Don Bosco Bamberg managed to win second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Five BasCats Heidelberg and four Don Bosco Bamberg players scored in double figures. BasCats Heidelberg moved-up to second place in South, which they share with Speyer. Don Bosco Bamberg lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Wasserburg II and Jahn Muenchen. BasCats Heidelberg is looking forward to face Wasserburg II (#6) on the road in the next round. Don Bosco Bamberg will play against Rhein Main Baskets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
