No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Sporting (4-4) beat 11th ranked AD Vagos (1-7) in Lisboa 63-54 on Sunday. Sporting dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to AD Vagos' 12. They outrebounded AD Vagos 33-18 including 21 on the defensive glass. Senegalese center Bineta Ndoye (196-93, agency: Josep and Nicolas) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Spanish Arantxa Mallou (181-91) contributed with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Sporting players scored in double figures. The former international guard Ana Fonseca (168-78) replied with 24 points and the former international swingman Daniela Domingues (176-92) added 8 points in the effort for AD Vagos. AD Vagos' coach Joao Janeiro tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sporting moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams.
