Regular Season Round 11: Smederevo - OKK Beograd 89-86

The most exciting game of round 11 in the KLS took place in Smederevo. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked OKK Beograd (5-6) to third ranked Smederevo (8-3) 89-86 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of OKK Beograd. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-15. But OKK Beograd won second period 26-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for Stefan Zivanovic (196-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points. Point guard Sasa Djordjevic (190-85) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Smederevo's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. point guard Nikola Vukasovic (192-91) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Mihailo Selakovic (200-90) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Smederevo maintains third place with 8-3 record having just two points less than leader FMP. OKK Beograd at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Mladost ZE. Smederevo are looking forward to face Napredak Rubin (#5) in Krusevac in the next round. OKK Beograd will play at home against Mladost ZE and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
