Regular Season Round 17: Rasai - Delikatesas 81-78

A very interesting game took place in Raseiniai. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Delikatesas (7-10) to thirteenth ranked Rasai (6-11) 81-78 on Friday evening. Delikatesas was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 23-15 third quarter run of Rasai. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Augustinas Jankaitis (205-94) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Gabriel Moton (191-91, college: Brandeis) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Darius Griskenas (194-84) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and guard Sarunas Kulevicius (191-89) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rasai maintains thirteenth place with 6-11 record. Delikatesas at the other side keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Rasai's next round opponent will be higher ranked Zalgiris II (#6) in Kaunas and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
