Regular Season Round 9: Usak - Besiktas 66-64

Important game to mention about took place in Usak. Fourth ranked Usak (6-2) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Besiktas (4-5) 66-64 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as Besiktas took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Usak took control getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. American swingman Paul Harris (193-86, college: Syracuse) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Giordan Watson (178-85, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was American point guard Nate Wolters (193-91, college: S.Dakota St.) with 6 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Enes Taskiran (190-97) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Usak moved-up to second place, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Besiktas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Usak will play against bottom-ranked Turk Telekom (#16) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Besiktas will play at home against TED Kolejliler (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
