There was no surprise when 9th ranked Urla BLD (3-5) was outleveled by third ranked Istanbulgucu (6-2) in Izmir 81-58 on Saturday. Istanbulgucu forced 20 Urla BLD turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Urla BLD's players. American forward Breanna Brock (187-90, college: Missouri, agency: Gamble Sports Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Merve Uygul (170-88) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American center Molly Schlemer (196-92, college: Cal Poly - SLO) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and Mehtap Araz (-92) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Urla BLD. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Istanbulgucu have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group B. Loser Urla BLD dropped to the eighth position with five games lost.
