Regular Season Round 11: Schwelm - Hertener Loewen 92-74

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets (5-6) defeated at home 7th ranked Hertener Loewen (5-6) 92-74 on Saturday. SG Schwelmer Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Hertener Loewen's players. The best player for the winners was American swingman Domonique Crawford (196-84, college: Youngstown St.) who scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Croatian point guard Zeljko Novak (184-89) chipped in 18 points. Four SG Schwelmer Baskets players scored in double figures. SG Schwelmer Baskets' coach Miodrag Radomirovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Deandre Lansdowne (187-89, college: Fort Lewis) produced 23 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import power forward Brandon Griffin (202-82, college: SE Missouri St.) added 9 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for the guests. SG Schwelmer Baskets moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with defeated Hertener Loewen. SG Schwelmer Baskets will face again Hertener Loewen (#9) on the road in the next round.
