Regular Season Round 9: Infiz Basket - Dynamo 64-85

Date: December 5, 2015
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kyiv: Dynamo (#4) and Infiz Basket (#8). Infiz Basket was crushed at home by 21 points 64-85 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo. Infiz Basket was better in third quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dynamo had a 44-30 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Center Anatolii Chelovan (206-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American forward Quinton Doggett (203-90, college: Southern) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds. Four Dynamo players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Andriy Lebedintsev (184-91) with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and swingman Igor Dobrikov (193-90) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Dynamo maintains fourth place with 6-5 record. Infiz Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Dynamo will play against bottom-ranked VolinBasket (#9) in Lutsk in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Infiz Basket will play on the road against VolinBasket in Lutsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
