Regular Season Round 9: Khimik - SC Kryvbas 67-65

SL Favorit Sport round 9 caused change at the leadership position. Third defeat of league's leader SC Kryvbas (9-3) against first ranked Khimik (10-1) 67-65 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of SC Kryvbas. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-65. Khimik dominated on the defensive end, holding SC Kryvbas to just 7 points in third quarter. 25 personal fouls committed by SC Kryvbas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for forward Oleksandr Antypov (202-95) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 5 rebounds. SC Kryvbas will play next round against Zaporizhya trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Khimik will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Cherkasy at home.
