NBL top team - Haskovo 2012 (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Septemvri (1-6) in Sofia 107-59. The game without a history. Haskovo 2012 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Septemvri to just 6 points in first quarter. Haskovo 2012 dominated down low during the game scoring 92 of its points in the paint compared to Septemvri's 28. Haskovo 2012 forced 22 Septemvri turnovers and outrebounded them 62-31 including a 25-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Haskovo 2012 players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Septemvri's players. It was a great evening for Mali forward Meiya Tirera (186-86) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!), 24 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks. American guard Lia Galdeira (180, college: Washington St.) helped adding 24 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 8 steals. At the losing side guard Ivona Ilieva (176-98) responded with 30 points and 4 assists and guard Ana-Maria Kolyandrova (165-97) scored 5 points and 8 rebounds. Haskovo 2012 have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Septemvri lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Haskovo 2012 will play against Montana 2003 (#5) on the road in the next round. Septemvri's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sofia Levski.
