Important game to mention about took place in Ankara. Sixth ranked TED Ankara (5-3) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 4th ranked Nevsehir GHSIM (4-3) 80-79 on Sunday evening. TED Ankara forced 25 Nevsehir GHSIM turnovers. Nevsehir GHSIM was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Melike Yalcinkaya (189-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and Canadian forward Kalisha Keane (185-89, college: Michigan St.) who added 21 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four TED Ankara players scored in double figures. American forward Sandora Irvin (191-82, college: TCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 23 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and forward Gulnur Sandallioglu (187-87) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. TED Ankara moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Osmaniye. Nevsehir GHSIM at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Cankaya. TED Ankara will play against league's leader Mersin Basketbal on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nevsehir GHSIM will play against Urla BLD (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
