Regular Season Round 7: Abdullah Gul - Orduspor 88-70

KBSL top team - Abdullah Gul (6-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat tenth ranked Orduspor (2-5) in Kayseri 88-70. They outrebounded Orduspor 44-20 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Abdullah Gul especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a quality performance for the former international Pinar Demirok (182-91, agency: 1x1 Sports) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Chelsea Gray (180-92, college: Duke) accounted for 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Abdullah Gul's coach Ayhan Avci allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international forward Gulsah Akkaya (181-77) came up with 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American guard Courtney Vandersloot (173-89, college: Gonzaga) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively for Orduspor in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Abdullah Gul have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Orduspor lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
