Regular Season Round 11: Bakken - Svendborg 98-102

The game between second ranked Bakken (7-2) and fourth ranked Svendborg (6-6) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Bakken was defeated by Svendborg in a tough game in Aarhus 98-102. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bakken. Strangely Bakken outrebounded Svendborg 51-30 including a 40-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Argentinian-Italian point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group) contributed with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Svendborg's coach Craig Pedersen used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international guard Darko Jukic (199-90, agency: Two Points) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists and Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) added 24 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Bakken. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. Svendborg maintains fourth place with 6-6 record. Bakken at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Svendborg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bakken will play at home against Naestved and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
