Ninth-ranked Chernomorets (1-9) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Spartak Pleven (6-4) in Burgas on Saturday. The visitors from Pleven managed to secure only two-point victory 73-71. However their fans expected easier game. Chernomorets cut a 14-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. Montenegrin-Serbian center Milovan Savic (205-87) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Dimitar Marincheshki (200-90) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Konstantin Koev (196-91) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Serbian center Dejan Bjelic (209-90) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chernomorets' coach Radostin Ivanov tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Spartak Pleven moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Chernomorets lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Spartak Pleven will face Cherno More (#6) in Varna in the next round. Chernomorets will play on the road against Levski 2014 (#7) in Sofia and hope to win that game.
