Regular Season Round 12: Art.Dragons - Oldenburg 61-65

An interesting game was also tough home defeat of 4th ranked Artland Dragons in a game in Quakenbrueck versus Oldenburg (#3) 65-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Artland Dragons. The winners were led by Stefan Wess (203-94) who scored that evening 14 points and 6 rebounds and forward Jan Niklas Wimberg (206-96) supported him with 13 points. Even a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds by Isaiah Hartenstein (208-98) did not help to save the game for Artland Dragons. Jacob Mampuya (200-94, college: High School) added 12 points and 5 assists. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Oldenburg (8-4) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Wolfenbuettel. Loser Artland Dragons keep the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Bochum and Rostock. Oldenburg will meet at home league's leader Iserlohn in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Artland Dragons will play against Itzehoe and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
