Regular Season Round 10: Turk Telekom - Usak 81-68

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Usak (7-3) against sixteenth ranked Turk Telekom (2-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Usak was defeated by Turk Telekom in Ankara 81-68. The game was mostly controlled by Turk Telekom. Usak managed to win fourth quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-Georgian point guard Ben Woodside (180-85, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Priority Sports) fired 20 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Michael Jenkins (193-86, college: Winthrop) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Point guard Can Korkmaz (187-92, agency: Beo Basket) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian center Khem Birch (208-92, college: UNLV) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Turk Telekom moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser Usak dropped to the second position with three games lost. They share it with Fener.Ulker and Galatasaray. Turk Telekom's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ankara to the arena TED Kolejliler.
