Bottom-ranked Botas managed to get a second victory, breaking the five-game losing streak. This time they edged ninth-ranked Gelistirenler in Istanbul 71-70. It was a great shooting night for Botas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. American power forward Avery Warley (190-87, college: Liberty) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import D'Andra Moss (178-88, college: VCU) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American swingman Megan Frazee (193-87, college: Liberty) replied with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Kristen Nevlin (193-85, college: Stanford) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gelistirenler. Botas (2-6) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Gelistirenler. Botas will play against higher ranked Galatasaray (#4) in Istanbul in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
