Regular Season Round 12: Hertener Loewen - Schwelm 99-87

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Hertener Loewen and 8th ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets had identical 5-6 record. This time Hertener Loewen used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Schwelm 99-87 on Saturday night. SG Schwelmer Baskets were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Deandre Lansdowne (187-89, college: Fort Lewis) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import power forward Brandon Griffin (202-82, college: SE Missouri St.) contributed with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American swingman Domonique Crawford (196-84, college: Youngstown St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and forward Frederik Henningsen (198-88) added 20 points in the effort for SG Schwelmer Baskets. SG Schwelmer Baskets' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hertener Loewen (6-6) moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with Itzehoe. Loser SG Schwelmer Baskets dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Hertener Loewen will face higher ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SG Schwelmer Baskets will play against SC Rist Wedel (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
