Regular Season Round 11: Amager - Stevnsgade 68-72

Dameligaen top team - Stevnsgade (6-2) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Amager (4-5) in Kastrup 72-68. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 23-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Stevnsgade forced 20 Amager turnovers. The best player for the winners was international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) who scored 27 points. International guard Hanna Sheikh (180-92) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Portia Durrett (185-92, college: Oklahoma) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) added 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Stevnsgade have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-2 record. Amager at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Stevnsgade will meet at home SISU (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
