Regular Season Round 20: Vytis - Silute 101-74

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Vytis (13-7) outplayed 11th ranked Silute (8-12) in Sakiai 101-74. The game without a history. Vytis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds and guard Dominykas Domarkas (187-92) who added 20 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. American guard Ulysses Thomas (190, college: Kentucky St., agency: Regeneracom Sports) responded with 23 points and center Aurelijus Pukelis (206-94) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Silute's coach Petras Jonikas already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vytis have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-7 record having four points less than leader Suduva-Mantinga. Silute at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Delikatesas and Nafta-Uni.. Vytis will play against Telsiai (#7) in Telsiu in the next round. Silute will play on the road against Delikatesas in Joniskis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
