Regular Season Round 12: Fraport SKY II - Licher Baeren 95-57

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Licher Basket (4-7) was outscored by fifth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (6-5) in Frankfurt 95-57 on Sunday. Fraport Skyliners II looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American guard Travis Thompson (185-91, college: Alaska-Anch.) who led his team to a victory with 36 points (!!!). Johannes Richter (206-93) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Marian Schick (204-86) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Spanish point guard Nil Angelats (185-93) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Licher Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fraport Skyliners II maintains fifth position in South with 6-5 record, which they share with Noerdlingen. Loser Licher Basket keeps the tenth place with seven games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face league's leader Ehingen/Urspringschule in Allmendingen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Licher Basket will play at home against Giants (#6) and hope to win that game.
