Regular Season Round 12: Bremerhaven - MBC 84-88

Date: December 15, 2015
Bottom-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC managed to get a second victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they won against seventeenth-ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven 88-84. The guests were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 23-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian-Montenegrin forward Nikola Dragovic (206-87, college: UCLA, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Tashawn Thomas (203-93, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Mitteldeutscher BC's coach Silvano Poropat allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American point guard Kyle Fogg (190-90, college: Arizona) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 assists and his fellow American import point guard Jerry Smith (188-87, college: Louisville) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Eisbaeren Bremerhaven players scored in double figures. Mitteldeutscher BC (2-10) moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Bremerhaven. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against higher ranked ratiopharm Ulm (#12) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will play against Phoenix Hagen (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
