The game in Stevnsgade supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Naestved (8-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Stevnsgade (2-11). Naestved smashed Stevnsgade 82-53. It looked good early as Stevnsgade took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Naestved had a 25-10 second period charge getting the lead and Stevnsgade was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 53-82. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Caleb Walker (193-89, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists. South African center Christopher Gabriel (210-88, college: San Diego) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Gabriel is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Alonzo Brooks (201-84, college: Central Mo.) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Mikael Nielsen (178-90) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Stevnsgade. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Naestved moved-up to second place. Stevnsgade lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. They share it with SISU. Naestved will play against Svendborg (#4) at home in the next round. Stevnsgade will play against SISU (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
