Regular Season Round 21: Delikatesas - Silute 68-72

Everything could happen in Joniskis at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Silute and 9th ranked Delikatesas had identical 8-12 record. But Delikatesas was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Silute 72-68. The guests were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-14 Delikatesas' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 72-68 at the end of the game. Silute forced 20 Delikatesas turnovers and outrebounded them 44-28 including 18 on the offensive glass. Center Aurelijus Pukelis (206-94) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and Ignas Vaitkus (196-93) accounted for 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Silute players scored in double figures. Power forward Rokas Cepanonis (207-89) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Sarunas Kulevicius (191-89) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Delikatesas in the defeat. Silute (9-12) moved-up to ninth place. Delikatesas at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Nafta-Uni.. Silute will play against league's leader Suduva-Mantinga in Marijampole in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Delikatesas will play on the road against Zalgiris II (#6) in Kaunas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
