The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Fortuna's (3-8) home victory over 6th ranked Aistes-LSU (2-10) in Klaipeda 57-43. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Fortuna's pressure prevailed and they won that period 18-7 extending their advantage to 14 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aistes-LSU to just 7 points in third quarter and to 14 points in second half. They outrebounded Aistes-LSU 56-26 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Roberta Mizgeryte (188-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds and swingman Kriste Druskyte (180-92) who added 10 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Forward Jolanta Marmiene (181-79) responded with 15 points and guard Ieva Stankeviciute (177-89) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Aistes-LSU's coach Ricardas Maceina rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fortuna maintains fifth position with 3-8 record. Aistes-LSU lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Fortuna will play against higher ranked Kibirkstis-VICI (#3) in Vilnius in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aistes-LSU will have a break next round.
