Second Stage Round 1: Frankivsk - Dynamo-NPU 50-70

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Frankivsk (0-1) in Ivano-Frankivsk. Hosts were rolled over by Dynamo-NPU (2-0) 70-50. It looked good early as Frankivsk took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dynamo-NPU had a 17-11 second period charge getting the lead and Frankivsk was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 50-70. They outrebounded Frankivsk 40-28 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Viktoriya Kondus (170-97) stepped up and scored 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and point guard Olha Sivakova (160-92) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side forward Tetyana Gaiv (180-88) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and center Maryana Komarnyak (192-87) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Frankivsk players scored in double figures. Dynamo-NPU will play against Tavriyska Zivka (#6) in Kherson in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Frankivsk will have a break next round.
